Healing and Recovery After Your Tooth Is Removed
Every patient’s healing process is different, but most people feel significantly better within one to two weeks. The first couple of days are the most important for resting, avoiding heavy activity, and following our care recommendations closely.
It’s common to experience some soreness, swelling, or mild discomfort in the first 48 hours. Cold compresses, prescribed medications, and sticking to soft foods will help ease your symptoms. To prevent dry socket, avoid straws, smoking, or disturbing the extraction site.
The gum tissue typically heals fully over a few weeks. If stitches were used, we’ll schedule a follow-up to monitor healing and remove them if needed. Our team is always available if you have any concerns or questions during recovery.
